What a Mount Fuji tour actually includes
Most tours fall into two families. Sightseeing day trips from Tokyo visit the 5th Station and 2-3 nearby stops such as Chureito Pagoda, Lake Kawaguchi or Oshino Hakkai, with no climbing involved. Climbing tours are a separate product entirely: a 2-day guided ascent with a mountain hut stay, available only in the official climbing season. Confirm which type you're booking before you pay — the names sound similar but the trips are not interchangeable.
Group bus, private, or climbing — which fits you
