Mount Fuji 5th Station
The Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station sits at about 2,300-2,400 meters on Mount Fuji's northern slope, reachable by road, and is both the most visited sightseeing point on the mountain and the main trailhead for the Yoshida climbing trail. What's there
A cluster of shops, restaurants, coin lockers and Komitake Shrine, plus an observation area. 5th Station vs. the summit
A visit to the 5th Station is not a climb of Mount Fuji — it's the starting point. From here, climbing to the summit takes a further 5-9 hours up and 3-4 hours down, only during the official July 1-September 10 season.
